MODOT’s Scott City Interchange Project Moving Forward

MoDOT has proposed an interchange that will provide access to south Scott City from Interstate 55.  The project has is funded and moving forward.  The proposed project includes 4,000’ of new roadway from Route 61 at Kelso to the existing Route PP overpass bridge.  Additionally, over a mile of new outer road east of Interstate 55 will be constructed and the Route PP bridge will be replaced.  MoDOT has release the Environmental Assessment in January 2016.  A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at the Scott City city hall.
