MoDOT hosting public hearing for I-270 North Environmental Study
The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public hearing for the I-270 North Environmental Assessment and Preferred Alternative on Thursday, December 15. It will take place from 4 – 7 p.m. in the cafeteria/commons area at McCluer High School located 1896 S. New Florissant Road, Florissant, MO 63031.
The public hearing follows the recent approval of
the EA and Preferred Alternative by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The proposed improvements recommend rebuilding most of the existing interchanges, including the major system interchanges at Lindbergh and Route 367. It also consists of creating a one-way outer road system with Dunn Road (I-270 North Outer Road) and Pershall Road (I-270 South Outer Road) between Hanley/Graham and Old Halls Ferry.
Currently the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has $100 million available for the first phase of upgrading I-270.
